Will provide consultations, conflict management, couples therapy and family therapy. Will also provide clinical alcohol/drug assessment and intervention. Master's Degree required in a clinical human services discipline, i.e. counseling, social work, marriage & family therapy, clinical addictions specialist, psychology, etc. and certification as an EAP Professional preferred. Clinical licensure as required by state. Age specific competency for clients age 6 to 70. - YOUTH AND FAMILY COUNSELOR, Rockingham County Youth Services (posted 5/15/10)
Rockingham County Youth Services is seeking a therapist for a special demonstration project which partners with Juvenile Justice. Will provide weekly intensive home-based family counseling, individual counseling and cognitive-behavioral group for clients. Employee will plan, implement, and lead a group of court-involved youth in regular cognitive-behavioral group sessions, individual and family sessions; will monitor progress of clients in group on a regular basis, recommend changes in treatment plans, termination, or referrals to other services as indicated. Youth in this project are involved in juvenile court system and are ordered into the program by a judge. Must have Masters in Counseling, Family Therapy, or Social Work and one to two years of successful experience in counseling youth and their families; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Candidates should be professionally licensed or pursuing licensure as LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
