THE COUNSELING CENTER AT DAVIDSON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH is seeking a full-time pastoral counselor, marriage and family therapist, professional counselor or clinical social worker to work with a small, established clinic in the Lake Norman area. The Counseling Center has been open since 1997. The staff currently is made up of a Director who is a full-time pastoral counselor/marriage and family therapist, a part-time pastoral counselor, and a part-time marriage and family resident. Also, we have a part-time office manager who handles all billing and insurance issues.
In addition to being a counseling center that values relational, faith-based psychotherapy, we also see ourselves as a teaching/learning center, and we place a high value on weekly case review, supervision, and the lifelong personal and professional development of a therapist.
This new position is open to clinicians who are licensed or license-eligible in North Carolina. A specialty in child and adolescent psychotherapy also is a plus. We are looking for a therapist with at least 5 years post-licensure experience who can demonstrate an ability to integrate psychotherapy and spirituality in a way that supports the healing and growth of individuals and families.Our compensation package includes attractive benefits, a very comfortable work environment in a stimulating college community, and adequate time off for leisure and continuing education.
